Supporting Our ADHD Kids Based On Their Unique Needs With Veronica Hunter
During this episode, What Now ADHD founder, Veronica Hunter, and I talk about using the lens of curiosity to support our ADHD kids, accepting our kids (and ourselves) for who they are and listening to our intuition even when it goes against the norm.
WE TALK ABOUT:
~ Determining where our ADHD kids need the most body/brain support
~ Helping them grow specific skills based on what we learn
~ The importance of co-regulated relationships
As an R&D battery scientist, Veronica Hunter learned to look deeply to understand what is really going on. She has applied this over the past 5 years as a mom to a child with an ADHD diagnosis.
However, she found that the journey to what mattered most was not clear and was filled with overwhelm, uncertainty, emotional turmoil, and unanswered questions.
Then she saw a mom post on FaceBook, “My child was diagnosed with ADHD, what now?” The answer from other parents was, “Start your research.” Veronica knew we needed a better answer.
Now she is the founder of ADHD- What Now? (www.whatnowADHD.com) and helps parents make their unique ADHD Action Plan for their child and then dive deep into how to support their unique neurodiverse kids and enjoy the journey.
